Tier List Hub

Gladio Mori does not hand you a damage number and a health bar. Every cut, thrust, and blunt impact lands on muscles, arteries, and vitals, and plate armor can stop a slash cold until you find a gap. That is why this Tier List Hub exists: to rank weapons and armor by how they actually win fights in the 1.0 meta, not by how flashy they look in the lobby.

Use the two deep dives below as your starting map. Pair them with the damage reference when you need organ targets, and with Getting Started if you are still learning the arena flow.

What we rank

  • Weapons tier list — S/A/B/C placements for Gladius, Katana, Guandao, Daneaxe, Zweihander, Pollaxe, Mallet, Goedendag, Bardiche, Battle Axe, Daggers, Falx, Halberd, Kilij, Longsword, Lucerne Hammer, Katar, Rapier, Spear, Kanabo, unarmed, and the shield options (including Scutum). Criteria: reach, speed, armor pierce / blunt utility, and learning curve with default and community movesets.
  • Armor tier & builds — how to spend limited loadout points across roughly 17 equippable pieces, when full plate is worth it, and which weak points still get you killed.

How to read these lists

Gladio Mori launched into 1.0 on September 16, 2026 after Early Access from November 26, 2024. The roster sits around 34 weapons, unarmed, and three shields, with physics-driven contact instead of scripted hitboxes. A weapon that shreds naked campaign bots can bounce off plate in a four-player cross-play lobby on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

We weight online arena and custom fights slightly higher than solo campaign, because campaign point caps already force light loadouts on harder difficulties. If a tool is “S” only when you invent a custom moveset in the editor, we say so instead of pretending the stock kit carries it.

Quick start picks

New to the sand? Start with a medium-reach cutter or thruster you can aim at gaps (Gladius, Longsword, Rapier, Spear) and a partial armor plan that protects head and torso without locking every joint. Then open the weapons list to climb toward polearms and blunt tools once you can time binds and feints.

Veterans optimizing for packed lobbies should jump to blunt / spike hybrids such as Pollaxe and Lucerne Hammer, then cross-check armor builds so your plate does not leave an obvious thigh or neck lane.

Revisit this hub after major patches. Plebeian Studio’s post-launch tease already points at more weapons, a new arena, and ongoing balance. When the meta shifts, the child pages here will move first.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Gladio Mori questions.

How often is this Gladio Mori tier list updated?

After major patches and whenever new weapons or armor pieces land. Check the Updates Hub for patch context, then return to the weapons and armor pages for revised placements.

Do custom movesets change weapon tiers?

Yes. A community moveset can push a B-tier stock kit into A or S in skilled hands. We note when a placement assumes editor work versus the default moveset.

Should I copy S-tier loadouts in campaign?

Not blindly. Harder campaign difficulties cap equipment points, so light weapons and partial armor often outperform heavy S-tier arena kits.
